What is warm white?
The warm white refers to a color, a hue of light, it is a
light color included in 2600 and 3500K (Kelvin). This hue of warm white light
corresponds to orange to yellow light. Incandescent or halogen bulbs illuminate
in warm white. It is therefore historically this hue of color that is most
familiar to us.
LEDs in warm white is grouped into two broad categories:
- · The warm white 2700K - which corresponds to a range between 2600 and 2900K is a yellow-orange hue close to incandescence
- · The 3000K warm white - fork in 2900 and 3200K is a hue of yellow light whiter than incandescent
When to use warm white lighting?
The warm white creates a more peaceful, cozy atmospheres ideal
for rooms such as:
- · The lounge and the relaxation areas of the evening
- · The bedrooms
- · The dining room is either warm white or neutral according to taste
The warm white is the color of the sun at dusk, it is an
ideal color temperature to use at the end of the day, more relaxing for the
eyes.
What is the brightness of a warm white?
At equal power, a warm white is 10% less bright than a white
of the day (6000K) and 5% less bright than a natural white (4000K). If you wish
to have a maximum brightness then you must avoid the warm white.
